Resource Partners

Probably the two biggest resources to learn about sheep research and conservation are:
https://www.wildsheepfoundation.org/  (Probably the biggest organization in North America. Has local chapters all around the West)
https://wafwa.org/initiatives/wsi/ (Multi-state collaboration across state fish and wildlife agencies)

Others with more local foci are:
https://sheepsociety.com/ (The SCBS’ mission and ultimate goal is the full restoration of California’s Desert Bighorn Sheep (Ovis canadensis nelsoni) to its historic range and the establishment of self-sustaining populations throughout those ranges.)
https://www.bighorninstitute.org/ (Focuses on the endangered Peninsular bighorn in southern California and has long been recognized as an official recovery facility for the species. Over the past 35 years, its captive breeding and wild population augmentation program has resulted in the release of 127 bighorn into the wild.Monitors wild bighorn populations along the southern rim of the Coachella Valley from Palm Springs to La Quinta)
https://www.bighornsheep.org/ (Rocky Mountain Bighorn Society is dedicated to the conservation and enhancement of bighorn sheep populations in Colorado and throughout the west.)
